Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s Teen Fashion Apprentice Program is coming to a Library near you this summer! The nationally recognized program has designed its second annual workshop series at different branches around Charlotte that focus on careers and schools in the Fashion Industry. All of the workshops in the series are lead by industry professionals and provide insight on specific careers.
Teen Fashion Week will premier the week of July 15th with a montage of community designers and speakers equipping teens to compete in the 2nd Annual FUSION: Teen Fashion Show Challenge. Charlotte Mecklenburg Library has also partnered with FLOW By Tara Davis Boutique, Charlotte Seen, and the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte to offer a total of 10 Apprenticeships this year.
The top 10 designers selected from the FUSION: Teen Fashion Show Challenge will win an Apprenticeship and the opportunity to showcase their designs on the runway at Charlotte Fashion Week. All teen designers that participate in this year’s Fashion Show Challenge will be invited to a reception at Mint Museum and will receive the opportunity to have their designs on display.
